The O’Halloran & O’Brien Training Academy
are delighted to be working in partnership with FrontFoot in offering our industry leading expertise and our world class construction provision to support those leaving the Armed Forces and seeking a career in the construction sector. Our bespoke service offer to FrontFoot will provide the breadth and quality of our construction related provision including CSCS Health & Safety Testing, CSCS, card application services, SSSTS, SMSTS and Site Safety Plus courses, CPCS provision, Slinger/Signaller training, construction related NVQ’s and introductory assessment programmes and pathways in to groundwork, formwork, steelfixing and more general basic skills pre-employment Bootcamps.
In addition to our core training offering O’Halloran & O’Brien Ltd, a leading groundwork, civil engineering and concrete structures sub-contractor are also seeking to recruit up to 1000 operatives a year over the next 2/3 years to support the trade occupations within our construction footprint throughout London and the South East, although also currently extending in to Birmingham and the Midlands. These trade occupation will also include civil engineering Plant Operators and some supervisory, technical and professional progression opportunities. Working with FrontFoot we feel that this will help us fufill our target of recruiting a 1000 operatives a year over the next 2/3 years.
Furthermore the OHOB Training Academy will in partnership with the Cross-Industry Construction Apprenticeship Task Force (CCATF) provide an ‘Apprenticeship Brokerage Service’ to FrontFoot to align Armed Forces construction candidates on to and in to construction apprenticeship pathways either with and through O’Halloran & O’Brien Ltd or with other identified CCATF member companies working throughout the UK.
The Cross-Industry Construction Apprenticeship Task Force (CCATF)
will seek to provide a bespoke information, advice and guidance on all accredited construction apprenticeship pathways and signpost FrontFoot referred Armed Forces candidates either to CCATF member companies and/or towards other construction companies who may offer those apprenticeship opportunities. The CCATF will additionally share knowledge and opportunities regarding other available apprenticeship placements available at the time of any related enquiry. The CCATF will additionally consider tailoring any additional services required to support transition from the Armed Forces in to employment and/or a career opportunities in the construction sector.
