About the role
Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our team on the Highways A57 Link Road scheme, this role will be based at RIP M25 J10 A3 Wisley.

We provide high quality asset strategy, management, and planning consultancy services to a wide range of public and private sector customers.
We provide specialist, reliable, sustainable, and creative advice for asset management planning and implementation in the UK. We put our customers first and prioritise completing schemes safely, efficiently and to a high standard
As a Site Engineer you will undertake Site Engineering control and implementation of works on site, including monitoring and reporting of progress.
What you'll be doing
In This role you will:
- Hazard Identification and contribution to development of Safe System of Work.
- Provision of sketches detailing the setting out information installed.
- Maintain survey equipment including registers of equipment and testing regimes.
- Production of as-built drawings & records for every element of the works.
- Completion of Quality Check Sheets and production of information for Handover Documentation in a timely manner in line with programme.
- Measures actual materials used and reconciles with theoretical measure, reporting and investigating reasons for differences.
- Produces weekly measure. Take offs and schedules materials accurately, producing accurate and clear requisitions, following through to delivery.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for:
- Highways projects experience.
- Setting out techniques – ability to use level & EDM, plus GPS.
- Able to read and understand drawings and schedules, with the ability to understand Activity Control Plans and production of resultant information for handover file.
- Knowledge of specification and contract documents.
- Current UK driving licence and CSCS card.
