Maintenance Operator

We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Operator to join our team in Willand, Devon. This is a fantastic and exciting career opportunity to join one of the UK's largest food manufacturers.

• The hours of work are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday
• The rate of pay is: £13.94

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as Maintenance Operator your main responsibilities will include:

• Maintain existing machinery and equipment across the site by undertaking planned preventative maintenance work and testing on a regular basis
• Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns or other engineering problems ensuring down time and disruption is kept to a minimum
• Accurately complete all documentation required by the business and collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to identify and resolve Health and Safety issues across the site where possible
• Work together with Engineering and non-Engineering employees to identify efficiency improvements and cost savings on the Production lines and machines
• To have in place systems and procedures to support the Engineering Manager and carry out all planned maintenance activity
• Contribute to the development of the Engineering team
• To adhere to all Health and Safety legislation and to actively promote a safety culture

• English language skills with the ability to read, write and speak English
