What we need
• Construction related qualification i.e. HNC/HND, University degree in civil engineering, or equivalent to UK BSc in Construction Management,
• Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), First Aider, this can be obtained once in UK
• Proven track record as a Site Manager within the construction industry
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills
• The ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
• An all-round knowledge of a range of IT packages
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance
• Proactive and Self-motivated with a positive attitude
• The ability to integrate and work as part of a team
• Keen to pursue personal development needs and maintain up to date knowledge
• You must hold a full driving licence
• B2 level in English to be able to pass the language test for the work visa

Job Description
As the Site Manager you will oversee various construction and refurbishment projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage the entire project from start to completion ensuring compliance, communication and high standards are always at the forefront.
Responsibilities include monitoring full compliance to Health & Safety and contractual conditions. Thus, ensuring that any critical conditions are managed, and work is completed in a safe manner, in line with the project programme and to our client’s satisfaction.
You will be required to travel and includes the need to stay away from home if necessary. If needed, accommodation will be provided Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing and managing sub-contractors and trade operatives
• Be competent in the understanding of the construction drawings and contract design
• Monitoring, Enforcing and keeping up to date with Health & Safety practices and CDM Regulations on site
• Communicate relevant information with the client, their representative or on-site personnel
• Responsible for all allocated projects and their efficient running including profit and full compliance to Health & Safety legislations
• Attendance of regular site meetings with clients and other professionals.
• Prepare progress reports and update contract programmes for site meetings
• Agree variation pricing and agree instructions with the client or their agent
• Assist with formulating valuations and final accounts.
• Assist the estimator with the preparation of tenders/estimates where needed
• Monitor and report on job profitability on a regular basis.
• Ensure materials are ordered and received in a timely manner in line with the project programme
• Signing off invoices related to the project
Terms
The above responsibilities will vary from time to time depending on the type and size of project and may change. This will be in accordance with the Operations Manager discretion.
This is a full-time position, and hours of work will be 40 hours per week. This will also involve travel and working away as deemed necessary for the needs of the business.
