Description FM Conway is currently recruiting for a SHEQ Data Analyst for our SHEQ Team. As our Health and Safety Data Analyst you will enhance the company's SHEQ outcomes through data analysis. Your main responsibilities will include analysing datasets to identify risks and patterns, preventing workplace injuries and environmental impacts You will extract and verify data, building data models, designing visualizations, and presenting SHEQ statistics to the senior leadership team. This permanent, full-time position is based in Sevenoaks, Kent.

The duties of the SHEQ Data Analyst role will include:

- Collecting, cleaning and analysing health and safety data to identify trends and insights

- Developing dashboards and reports to communicate findings, utilising advanced Excel for data manipulation and calculations

- Designing and maintaining software tools to streamline data processes and collaborate with IT to integrate new solutions with existing systems

- Using large language models to enhance data analysis and develop predictive models and provide training on LLM applications

- Developing training programs for data analysis tools

- Analysing incident reports to identify improvement areas and recommend corrective actions whilst working with safety officers to implement data-driven hazard reduction strategies

What skills and experience do you need?

You will have experience analysing health and safety data and be skilled in Excel, including advanced functions like VBA and macros. Essential skills include developing software with Python, R, or similar languages, and familiarity with large language models such as GPT-3, BERT, or Enterprise LLM for data analysis. A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields is required. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
