Are you ready to lead and shape the future of health, safety, and environmental standards within a dynamic and growing
organisation? Torus Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join our team in
Liverpool. This role will be based at our HMS office in Stonebridge, with travel to our other offices in Liverpool, St Helens, and
Warrington expected; flexible home working is available, aligned with business needs.




As a pivotal leader at HMS, which is a large in-house construction and responsive repairs contractor within the Torus Group,
you’ll oversee a team of dedicated professionals to promote and deliver excellence in health, safety, and environmental practices.
This is your opportunity to lead by example, impart knowledge, and drive a culture of safety and sustainability across HMS and the
wider Group.




Responsibilities:

* Drive the development and implementation of the Torus Group HS&E Policy and Strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation,
including CDM regulations.
* Lead the HS&E team, including a Business Partner, Advisor, and potentially an Apprentice, ensuring effective resourcing and
development.
* Partner with senior management and operational teams to embed a positive health and safety culture and deliver measurable
improvements.
* Maintain and enhance certifications such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001, ensuring compliance and readiness for audits.
* Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies and ensure all incidents are investigated and addressed appropriately.




Skills & Experience:

We’re seeking a professional who embodies leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You’ll need:

* Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, Chartered Membership of IOSH (or working towards), and
relevant environmental qualifications.
* Proven track record in managing HS&E within construction or related industries, including implementing and maintaining ISO
standards.
* Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to influence at all levels.
* Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* A passion for developing a positive safety culture, combined with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.




Interview Process:



* Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a competency-based interview.
