Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives

Location: MOD Weeton Barracks Salary/ Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour Contract type: FTC starting mid-March 2025 Working hours: Mon-Fri 07:00-16:00 About the role You will be responsible for a range of activities from grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning and flower bed maintenance for clients across the region. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Grass Cutting: Regularly cut grass areas to maintain an even height and healthy appearance.
Weed Control: Identify and eliminate weeds using appropriate methods and tools to promote healthy plant growth.
General Landscape Maintenance: Assist with the care and maintenance of gardens, flower beds, and other landscaped areas.
Litter and Debris Removal: Keep outdoor areas free from litter and debris to ensure a clean environment.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for tools and equipment used in grounds maintenance tasks.
Willingness to learn and work well in a team
PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage but not essential
A full valid UK driving licence
Prior experience in Grounds Maintenance, using hand & mechanical tools, with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset
Undertake a Basic DBS Check
