To support HOPs and or CAT LEADs in managing specific categories to deliver a highly professional and strategic Procurement service at Taylor Wimpey UK Limited for a number of Group managed categories. Working closely with, and supporting, the Heads of Procurement and Procurement Director in delivering the Procurement and wider supply chain objectives, which include governance and functional support to the commercial teams. Please note - This role is a 12 MONTH FTC Role.
Primary Responsibilities
Procurement
- Support HOPs and or CAT LEAD in delivering a professional, commercial and strategic service on their allocated categories.
- Managing and developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, driving continual innovation and quality improvement throughout Procurement
- Assist Hops / Cat lead in initiating and leading strategic Procurement projects
- To support the Heads of Procurement in working closely with suppliers and Regional Business Units to recognise and deliver year on year business benefits
- To provide regular reports to the Procurement Director as requested on Procurement matters for their categories
- To support Taylor Wimpey’s Health and Safety and Customer Service objectives through the procurement process
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
- Previous experience in the Housebuilding industry
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Sage X3/COINs
- Experience in SIOP/materials planning.
